The Maximus Von Blackcat Jump Cup
The MvB Jump Cup is
awarded to the winner of the distance jumping event. The MvB is the premier cup
for hot wheels jumping in the nation. The current cup was established in 2008.
This perpetual award is named after Maximus Von Blackcat, the family cat who
went missing in action, and was later found out to be kidnapped. It is a tribute
to him and his jumping prowess. The MvB can be challenged for, and is regularly
awarded durring events.
Winners:
2008 Christmas Cup - Rob McCurdy - Batman
2009 St. Patricks Day Slugout - Daren McCurdy - Over the Top
2009 Summer Smash - Daren McCurdy - The Hurst
2009 Christmas Cup – Daniel Vogel – Mach 6
2010 SS – Tim Hemmis – Back to the Future
2010 CC – Rob McCurdy – The Juice
Lore: It is rumored that when under the care of Rob, mice lived in the cup.
The McCurdy brothers have had a firm grasp on this cup since its begining. It continued to elude the Vogel Brothers , as none of their cars came close to even placing in the Jump competition. This was finally broken at the Christmas Cup of 2009 when Dan finally claimed it. However, the next two winners were both non-Vogels. It is rumored that Peter cursed his own bloodline when selling his soul to win the VwV, of course this is unfounded.
